Short ribs are a richly marbled, full-flavoured cut taken from the rib plate. With slow cooking, the fat renders and the meat becomes meltingly tender, delivering deep umami notes and a luxurious, sticky finish. A standout choice for braising, smoking or long oven cooks.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Slow Cook (From Ambient)

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.

  2. Season and brown the ribs in a hot pan.

  3. Transfer to a dish, add stock or wine, cover and cook low and slow.

Timings:
3–5 hours until the bones slide clean.

Allow to rest in the cooking juices.
